Różnorodne formy pomocy finansowej / various forms of financial aid

Szanowni Studenci, 

Przypominamy, że Wyższa Szkoła Gospodarki zapewnia Studentom różnorodne formy pomocy finansowej. Stypendia dla studentów przyznawane są ze środków budżetowych państwa i funduszy własnych Uczelni.

Studenci mają możliwość złożenia wniosków o:

- stypendia Rektora za wyróżniające wyniki w nauce, osiągnięcia naukowe, artystyczne lub osiągnięcia sportowe;

- stypendia socjalne;

- stypendia dla osób niepełnosprawnych;

- zapomogi dla studentów znajdujących się przejściowo w trudnej sytuacji życiowej;

- stypendium Ministra za wybitne osiągnięcia.

Zgodnie z przepisami ustawy Prawo o szkolnictwie wyższym i nauce studenci zagraniczni mogą ubiegać się o pomoc materialną z budżetu państwa, tj. stypendia dla studenta o niskich dochodach oraz pożyczki studenckie, tylko wówczas, gdy spełnia następujące kryteria:

1) posiada zezwolenie na pobyt stały lub jest rezydentem długoterminowym UE,

2) posiada zezwolenie na pobyt czasowy w związku z okolicznościami, o których mowa w art. 159 pkt1 lub art. 186 ust. 1 pkt 3 lub 4 ustawy o cudzoziemcach,

3) posiada nadany przez Rzeczpospolitą Polską status uchodźcy lub korzysta z ochrony czasowej lub ochrony uzupełniającej na terytorium Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej,

4) posiada certyfikat potwierdzający znajomość języka polskiego jako obcego co najmniej na poziomie biegłości językowej C1,

5) posiada Kartę Polaka lub decyzję o polskim pochodzeniu,

6) jest małżonkiem, wstępnym lub zstępnym obywatela polskiego zamieszkałym na terytorium Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej.

Jednakże wszyscy studenci zagraniczni, którzy podjęli naukę od roku akademickiego 2019/2020 mogą ubiegać się o inne stypendia finansowe, takie jak:

- stypendium Rektora,

- stypendium socjalne dla osób niepełnosprawnych,

- zapomogę jednorazową,

- stypendium Ministra.

Wszystkie wnioski o stypendia należy składać za pomocą iSAPS do Komisji Stypendialnej Wyższej Szkoły Gospodarki w Bydgoszczy od 10 września do 10 października. Prosimy o zapoznanie się ze szczegółowymi wytycznymi na temat warunków przyznawania wyżej wymienionych świadczeń na www.stypendia.wsg.byd.pl.

Dear Students, 

Pursuant to the provisions of the Law on Higher Education and Science, foreign students can apply for financial assistance from the state budget, i.e. grants for low-income students and student loans, only if they meet the following criteria:
1. they have a permanent residence permit or are long-term residents of the EU,
2. they have a temporary residence permit in connection with the circumstances referred to in art. 159 point 1 or art. 186 section 1 point 3 or 4 of the Act on foreigners,
3. they have been granted refugee status by the Republic of Poland or benefit from temporary protection or subsidiary protection on the territory of the Republic of Poland,
4. they have a certificate confirming their knowledge of Polish as a foreign language at least at C1 language proficiency level,
5. they have a Pole’s Card (Karta Polaka) or a decision confirming that they are of Polish descent,
6. they are a spouse, ascendant or descendant of a Polish citizen living on the territory of the Republic of Poland.

Nonetheless, all foreign students who undertook education after the 2019/2020 academic year are entitled to apply for other financial assistance grants, such as:
1. a Rector’s scholarship,
2. a maintenance grant for disabled people,
3. a special assistance grant,
4. a Minister’s scholarship.

A student in a long-term difficult financial situation may apply for a grant for low-income students, whereas a student who is struggling due to temporary difficult life circumstances may apply for a special assistance grant. A maintenance grant for disabled people can be obtained by a student holding a disability certificate, a disability degree certificate or a certificate referred to in art. 5 and art. 62 of the Act of 27 August 1997 on professional and social rehabilitation and employment of disabled people. A Rector’s scholarship may be awarded to a student who attained outstanding learning outcomes, scientific or artistic achievements, or sports achievements while competing at least at the national level. A Rector’s scholarship may be granted to students admitted to the first year of studies in the same year in which they passed their Maturity exam, provided that they are: 1) a laureate of an international school olympiad or a laureate or finalist of a Polish central-level school olympiad, as defined in the provisions on the education system; 2) a medallist of at least one sports competition for the title of Polish Champion in a given sport, as referred to in the provisions on sports.
